Sandner Hennessy specializes in office tenant representation in the Birmingham market. With a background spanning brokerage, real estate valuation and strategic property positioning, he brings deep industry knowledge to every client engagement. Since entering commercial real estate in 2011, Sandner has worked across multiple states in the Southeastern United States for a diverse clientele that includes financial institutions, pension funds, REITs, developers, private property owners and law firms.

Before joining Colliers, Sandner was a licensed commercial real estate appraiser focused on Class A office buildings, medical office space, and power and lifestyle shopping centers. He began his professional career as an accountant at Ernst & Young.

That valuation background is the advantage he brings to tenants: he knows how owners and lenders underwrite a building, what a landlord can afford to give on rent, free rent and tenant improvements, and how to compare proposals on true total occupancy cost.

Sandner holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree in Accounting from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, and he is a Certified General Appraiser. Active in the community, he is a member of the Monday Morning Quarterback Club and the Venture Club, and serves on the board of the Birmingham Golf Association.
